By 2025, China's new materials will explode by 10 trillion yuan

2022-04-06

In 2021, China's total output value of new materials is expected to exceed 7 trillion yuan.It is expected that the total output value of the new material industry will reach 10 trillion yuan in 2025.The industrial structure is mainly distributed with special functional materials, modern polymer materials and high-end metal structure materials, accounting for 32%, 24% and 19%, respectively.

The agglomeration effect of new material industry is significant, and the geographical distribution of subdivision direction has different focuses.Jiangsu, Shandong, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces have more than 100 billion yuan of new energy sources.Fujian, Anhui and Hubei are the second, with more than 500 billion yuan. The new material industry of the Yangtze River Delta focuses on new energy vehicles, biology, electronics and other fields. The Pearl River Delta focuses on the research and development of high-performance composite materials, while the Bohai Rim region pays more attention to special materials and cutting-edge materials.

As the national policy for aerospace, military, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, photovoltaic electronics, biological medical new materials and their downstream products support, expanding market demand, colleagues for product performance continue to improve, new materials enterprise industry scale expanded dramatically, for enterprises, researchers research and development ability.

Downstream consumer electronics, new energy, semiconductor, carbon fiber and other industries are accelerating to China, the demand for new materials is urgent, import substitution will continue to promote the future development of China's new material industry investment.

China's investment in new materials has increased significantly between 2013 and 2017, and has since fallen back. The reason is that the development technical barriers of high-end materials, long research and development cycle, large capital demand, and difficult to highlight the cost advantage.

The launch of the science and Technology Innovation Board is supporting a number of new material enterprises in the initial stage, opening up their financing channels, encouraging enterprises to increase R & D and innovation, and thus promoting the transformation and upgrading of the overall industry.

One of the new material directions: lightweight material
